Kiten is a resort on the south Black Sea coast in Bulgaria with population of about 1000. It is situated between the resorts Primorsko and Tsarevo, in about 55km. from Bourgas.

In its modern view, the village was created in the beginning of the 20th century. The remains from the ancient fortress Urdoviza are evidence that the area was first settled by Thracians in 6th century BC. Today parts of the fortress are visible around the village, and the valuables discovered in excavation, are exhibited in the museum in Sozopol. In 2005 Kiten was declared a town, which places it among the smallest towns in Bulgaria.

There are two beaches in Kiten, in the small bays Atliman and Karach. Because of the favorable climate, the temperature of the water is more than appropriate for swimming from June to October. The sea is calm, with crystal-clear water. The beaches are well maintained.

In Kiten you will find a multitude of entertainments for adults and children. Beside the traditional banana, water jet and water ski, there is an inflated castle for children, swings, slides, bumping cars etc. The adults may play tennis, ride a horse or pedalo. There are regular boat trips organized on Ropotamo river.
Kiten is a very green town, which makes it airy even in the hottest days. In closeness in Strandzha mountain and the nature reserve with the same name, which is worth the hike. The reserve on Ropotamo river is just several kilometers away.

Despite its modest size, the town is full of restaurants and bars. Especially pleasurable are the beach bars and restaurants that offer a romantic view to the sea. At night you can party on the beach in a disco right on shore.
