Sveti Vlas is a small coastal town with population of about 4000. The village was found by Thracians in 200 BC. Its name- St. Vlas – dates back to 14th century.

In immediate closeness to St. Vlas are the resorts Sunny Beach and the ancient town of Nessebar, the three being well-connected by regular bus transport in short intervals. Sveti Vlas is just half an hour away by car from Bourgas Airport.

St. Vlas is known with the largest yacht harbor in the country that can take more than 300 yachts. There are several luxurious hotels as well as a multitude of family ones, you can also sleep in guest houses or private lodges.
 
Sveti Vlas is very close to the east end of the Balkan mountains. Its last uplands form an interesting combination of mountain and sea there. Thanks to the mountain, the air in the town is fresh. There are three beaches with total length of 1.5km.

There are several night clubs in St. Vlas, but the real night life is several kilometers away in Sunny Beach. You can have fun at night there, and get back to Vlas in the morning.

The town is quickly developing, because of the enterprise of several businessmen. A big part of Bulgaria's show business chooses St. Vlas for their vacation.

Many festivals and concerts are organized in the amphitheater. Sveti Vlas is also a host to a luxurious sports car rally and retro-cars parade.

Located near to Sveti Vlas are also the resort Elenite and the resort towns Ravda and Aheloy.
